We are also preparing to celebrate two amazing events, the first and more focused on philately is of course, the anniversary of the Penny Black and the second, as everyone in the Commonwealth is talking about, is the King’s Coronation. In this week’s newsletter you’ll read about all our royal-themed events, meetings and souvenirs. Next week we will be highlighting events associated with Great Britain and the Penny Black.

Thursday 4th at 2pm (UK Time): Coronation Collectables Royal collector, dealer and Spink Consultant Ian Shapiro will be hosting a Stampex Talk all about Coronation collectables. Ian has hand selected items which he will showcase and talk about the Royal Collection, from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II.
Thursday 4th May at 4pm (UK Time): King Charles New Stamp Chris Taft, Head of Collections at The Postal Museum shares information on King Charles’ new stamp. This will include some of the design process, behind the scenes work on the exhibition and general insights into the new era for British philately.
Saturday 6th May at 8pm (UK Time): Roundtable Join Brian Austin from Buckingham Covers who will be on hand to chat about the PTS Special Coronation of HM King Charles III Cover, with a specially designed PTS at Virtual Stampex postmark.

Saturday 6th May: Coronation Watching Party If you find yourself at home alone or if you are just online already, then why not log in to Virtual Stampex and join the the PTS Team as they host a Coronation watching party! This is a great chance to chat with other Virtual Stampex visitors and discuss the coronation in a relaxed atmosphere. BYO.
